Welcome to our March/April Catalogue New Product Blog Hop! We will be featuring new items available in the newest idea book currently available on the CTMH website. Click here to see the catalogue in detail.
If you have come here from Kim Lowen’s blog, Scrappin’ with Heart, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have over fifteen Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using new products from the March/April idea book, as well as great CTMH products available in the Core Catalogue. This is simple to do – just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! I’m sure you will be inspired by all the amazing projects you see along the way. Here we go!

One of the new collections in the March/April Catalogue is Daisy Meadows – a wonderful mix of Easter and spring themed products. For this birthday card, I used the pretty plaid design from the Daisy Meadows Paper Packet, and the Daisy Meadows Scrapbooking Stamps + Thin Cuts set. Even though the name of the product implies that this set is meant for scrapbooks, there is nothing stopping you from using it in other projects, like I have. As you can see, in my card, I simply trimmed off the edge of the larger flower on the bottom where it ran off the card, to make it work for me.
I wanted to balance out the big flowers that were the focal point of the card, so I chose to use the Wood Grain paper packet for the bottom of the card. I also used the Fancy Border Thin Cut and the Stitched Scalloped Bracket Thin Cut (larger size). The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Melissa Esplin Sentiments stamp set. All the above mentioned products are part of our Core Catalogue (available until August 2021).
Lastly, to embellish the card, I added some Silver Glitter Gems to the centre of the flowers, and some dots in Smoothie from the Daisy Meadows Dots collection.

Here’s a look at the beautiful Daisy Meadows Scrapbooking Stamp + Thin Cuts set in more detail. Even though the stamps in this set are quite large and mostly meant for scrapbook layouts, I find that with enough playing around, they can easily be used to create beautiful cards as well. Bottom line: don’t let the name of a product turn you off from using your creativity to apply it to any paper project you want!
